Senior .Net (VB, C#, ASP) Developer
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior .Net Developer at our Round Rock, TX facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for marketing, business intelligence, finance, POS, and communications for the convenience retailing industry. It analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains in-house consultants in conversion and implementation of system.
Requirements
- This position requires 2-3+ years of experience developing multi- tiered relational database applications in Windows NT/2k/XP/2003 environment using
- ASP / ASP.NET / VB.NET/ C#.
- Delphi or VB programming experience with COM/DCOM/MTS/COM+ a plus.
- Familiarity with design patterns and strong OOP design and development skills.
- Strong MS SQL skills.
- Previous experience with Requirements Management and Design Case Tools such as Erwin, Paradigm Plus, Requisite Pro, and or Visio.
- General relational data design skills.
- Ability to solve problems and re-engineer business processes to achieve efficiency.
- Experience with source code control management systems is required- experience with StarTeam, SourceSafe, MKS or other similar system desired.
- Excellent people skills.
- Ability to interface with all levels of management effectively.
- Excellent time management skills.
Preferred
- Knowledge of convenience retailing.
- Some experience with Oracle DBMS.
Minimum Education Required
- BSCS and or equivalent work experience.
The position may require limited travel.
